Building Enterprise & Opportunity

Development Works is a social enterprise company that reduce poverty creating opportunity. We measure success or mark failure through our ability to create jobs and increase income.

We focus on Farmers, Markets and Industry, leveraging all to create greater results.

A new, major stream, of activity for us is the establishment of a low-cost Housing facility.

We are most active in Afghanistan, where it has won global recognition through its work in social enterprise and opportunity for women.

Our commitment  to communities is long-term and intense. Often mixing donor and in-house resources, together with villagers we spark new activities that, one way or another, ultimately contribute to more jobs and better income.

We found the best way to accelerate development in Afghanistan is through an integrated, intensive approach we dubbed Village Quick Start.
